Journey of the Wounded Healer
Dulce Garcia
When I fret and worry
Over that mysterious injury of yours,
You take me on a magical journey
Through enchanted forests in unknown lands.
Then you deliver me, frail and full
of doubt,
Into the presence of a beautiful Swan Fairy.
Gently tucking me under her cuddling
wings,
She accepts the trembling Being of this human child.
And you say to me, pawing the ground
with impatient grace,
“Why are you so worried about my wounds?
I am the healer that springs from your own heart.
Why are you so worried about my wounds?
I am the mystical messenger of your dreams.
Why are you so worried about my wounds?
They are only the reflections of your own soul.
The swan lifts its wings and urges me
to go forward.
I walk with you toward a clearing in the forest,
And then you take off into full gallop toward the stars.
Oh, how magnificent you are……my Pegasus!
